She Wears Pink for Hope
When I was 19 years old, my cancer diagnosis taught me that it's important to always ask questions and seek second opinions — and how powerful your gut feeling is.

When I was 19 years old, my cancer diagnosis taught me that it's important always to ask questions and seek second opinions. That experience also showed me how powerful your gut feeling is when making decisions about personal health matters, which led me to today. As I reflect during breast cancer awareness month and honor those who have lost their lives or continue fighting this disease every day, I would like to share my journey as an entrepreneur dedicated to bringing attention to sustainable beauty!
After a decade of Salon Management experience in the beauty industry, I received knowledge and training from dozens of professional haircare companies. It wasn't until later, when people close to me began complaining about similar health concerns, that I realized the connection between carcinogenic chemicals and hair color.
Did you know the chemical absorption rate on your scalp is four times greater than your forearm?
I began searching for a safer hair color that would still give me the results I wanted. I was surprised to learn that hair color is virtually unregulated here in the U.S. because of the decades-long lobbying from major manufacturers.
My recommendation to every person researching chemicals found in hair color is to listen to your instincts. With mixed information and words often used such as "possibly" or "probably", I find some people struggle to want a definitive answer before making a change. The truth is, only you know what is best for your health.
Do not worry, I am not saying you need to stop coloring your hair. I am simply encouraging everyone to ask questions, stay aware, and choose products and services that align with their personal values and wellness goals.
The most misconception I had was that most professional hair treatments were safer than retail products. After years of research and conversations with industry professionals, I discovered that many ingredients commonly used in salons are restricted or banned in other parts of the world.
Today, Head Case Hair Studio is committed to offering cleaner, more conscious beauty options. We believe beauty should never come at the expense of your health or the environment.
I believe sustainable beauty is the future of our industry, and I hope I have inspired you to think differently about the products you use and the salons you support.
To prove how organic and natural products can still deliver incredible results, Head Case Hair Studio proudly partners with NATULIQUE and other clean beauty brands that share our commitment to safety, performance, and sustainability.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Together, we can continue making informed choices that support healthier lifestyles and a more sustainable beauty industry.
